Highland Games 2011

Dad, Mom, Cheryl, Faith, and Julia went to the Highland Games in Phoenix today.  The weather was nice, cool, and overcast.  The music was awesome.  The pipes were amazing.  The fish & chips were delightful. The Irish Wolfhounds were huge.  The haggis was...haggis.

Family Meeting 2-13-2011

Family minutes for February 13, 2011

Update on the family calendar: Send your happenings to Cheryl by Saturday nights for the upcoming week. She will send out a group e-mail on Sunday to everyone. *ONE WEEKLY E-MAIL* If you forget something or something comes up suddenly and you wish to share it with the fam, you will have to do it manually, sending an e-mail yourself.

Mom is NOT having a baby. Whew! She has actually been collecting cockroach hat yarn. There will NOT be enough looms for everyone up at the cabin to make the hats up there. SOOOOOO... if you wish, you will be able to make yours ahead of time. Talk to Mom. A plus side to this is you will have first pick to the yarn!

Steven wants us to come up with a McLaws camp song before our trip. If you have any ideas, bring them to the next meeting.

We discussed setting limits to what is required for a badge and alternate requirements. Esther will send Steven a list of all possible badges and Steven will pick the top 15 activities he wants to work into our trip. Cooking, fishing, hat looming, etc.

Dad will look into getting two new sets of talk abouts for the car ride up. Fun fun!

Grocery money will come from the fund. Each person or family submits what meal they would like to make and the ingredient list. And then, up there, help with that meal. We'll confirm this as the time gets closer.

Have fundraising ideas? E-mail Julia! faithandjulia@gmial.com

This is all I wrote down and remember. SORRY!
